Kharkiv State Zooveterinary Academy

Kharkov Veterinary Zoo is a state educational institution of the fourth accreditation level under the supervision of the Ministry of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine. Founded in 2001 on the basis of Kharkov Veterinary Zoo - the oldest graduate school of veterinary medicine in Ukraine. Its graduates have worked successfully in 78 countries around the world, on all continents of our planet including Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, Mongolia, Ethiopia, Congo, Nigeria, Ghana. The Institute has trained 32,000 zoo engineers and veterinary doctors for agriculture, among its graduates there are well-known scientists , Founders of scientific and educational schools.

The qualifications obtained at the Academy give the possibility to work in veterinary clinics, large animal breeding farms, agricultural companies, meat processing plants, veterinary examination laboratories, diagnostic laboratories. There are 30 departments in the academy, with 219 full-time employees including academics, 4 UAAS correspondent members, 31 professors, physicians of veterinary sciences, 110 lecturers, and science candidates. The academy contains 12 buildings, a canteen, a recreation center, two stadiums, two sports halls, a club, a shooting gallery, a horse training complex, where there are 40 horses, a practical educational and training farm. All buildings are located in a picturesque area not far from Kharkov.
