Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture or Physical Education was founded in the year 1930 The main building is in Kharkiv. Kharkiv Academy of Physical Culture is one of the leading academies in Ukraine, and one of the top 5 universities in the country, degrees and qualifications conferred upon graduates of the Academy: Bachelor, Specialist, Master, Candidate of Science, Doctor of Science. The academy currently offers academic training to nearly 2000 students, among them are foreign citizens: 165 students study in the preparatory department, and 115 studies in the main faculties of the academy: there are 18 postgraduate students.

Academy Structure: The Academy consists of 5 faculties, 18 departments, the Preparatory Center for Foreign Students, the School of Distinguished Sports Spirit, a Scientific and Research Center, a Center for Computer Technology and Information Support for the Physical Process of Education and Sports. The academy also offers postgraduate courses to its students.

Faculty: 2 academics, 35 doctors of sciences, professors, 74 candidates of sciences, PhDs, 12 honorary trainers of the USSR and Ukraine, 16 supervising masters in sports and masters in international sport.

About the city:

Kharkov is a big beautiful city in the eastern part of Ukraine. It is the second largest city in Ukraine and it was a capital of Ukraine.

As it was always located on the crossing of many roads and it was a merchant city from its foundation and later University City. That is reflected in common attitude of people who live there. Therefore they usually display acceptance and tolerance to other cultures. People are friendly and open to communication. More than 40 universities there are in Kharkov and more than 12000 foreign students. And you find a lot of clubs and entertainments in Kharkiv. There are a lot of restaurants and small cafes everywhere. Waking around in center you and just take coffee and go and feel like in New York City. What you will enjoy for sure it is public transportation in Kharkiv especially its subway: reliable, fast and cheap and you can reach almost everywhere.
