Kharkov University of Electronic Radio was founded in 1930 and is today considered one of the most prestigious advanced Ukrainian universities that use modern methods of teaching.

As the university is considered the first among all educational institutions in Ukraine, it started to develop and implement electronic learning methods and connect the student and the professor electronically.

The language of instruction at the university is optional for the student, either Russian or English, and 11177 students are studying at the university today, including more than 2050 foreigners from different countries of the world.

The university faculty consists of 683 professors, 310 PhD holders and 132 professorships.
The Kharkov Radio-Electronical University is a pioneering university in the development of new educational methods, and the university is partnering with universities in the United Kingdom, Finland, France, Germany, and the United States in order to integrate universities into one network, which facilitates exchange between universities.

About the city:

Kharkov is a big beautiful city in the eastern part of Ukraine. It is the second largest city in Ukraine and it was a capital of Ukraine.

Kharkov is really very unique city. And if you want to know about the real life in Kharkiv just imagine a big, huge market and you might understand what atmosphere you will find there. As it was always located on the crossing of many roads and it was a merchant city from its foundation and later University City. That is reflected in common attitude of people who live there. Therefore they usually display acceptance and tolerance to other cultures. People are friendly and open to communication. More than 40 universities there are in Kharkov and more than 12000 foreign students. And you find a lot of clubs and entertainments in Kharkiv. There are a lot of restaurants and small cafes everywhere. Waking around in center you and just take coffee and go and feel like in New York City. What you will enjoy for sure it is public transportation in Kharkiv especially its subway: reliable, fast and cheap and you can reach almost everywhere.
